OCR GCSE Maths (J560) is a Level 2 qualification regulated by Ofqual, taken by students aged 14–16. It covers number, algebra, ratio, proportion and rates of change, geometry and measures, probability, and statistics, with a strong focus on solving multi-step problems and reasoning mathematically. The course is available at Foundation tier (grades 1–5) and Higher tier (grades 4–9), typically 140 guided learning hours, with first assessment in 2017.
