Plans and elevations are flat, 2D orthographic views of a 3D solid, so there is no perspective. A plan is the view from directly above, a front elevation is from the front, and a side elevation is from the side.
A solid has width, depth and height. The plan and front elevation share width, the plan and side elevation share depth, and the front and side elevation share height.
