Ogwen Valley Alpine Coaster Proposal Sparks Conservation Row Plans have been submitted for 'Eryri Adventure', featuring a 1.5 km steel alpine gravity coaster, zip-lines, and a new 150-space visitor hub within the iconic Ogwen Valley in Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park. Developers promise the £8 million project will create 45 permanent jobs and inject £3 million annually into the local economy. However, the Snowdonia Society and wildlife advocates warn that construction on some steep glaciated slopes will accelerate soil erosion, scar the classic U-shaped glacial trough, and disturb rare montane vegetation and nesting peregrine falcons.

An alpine coaster track winding down the steep, heather-covered slopes of a classic glaciated U-shaped valley, with steep rugged rock walls, scree slopes, and a ribbon lake visible in the background.
