A weekly homework room

Your school is considering opening one supervised classroom at lunchtime each Wednesday. Pupils could choose to use it to complete homework or revise quietly.

Write a letter to your headteacher in which you support the proposal and recommend how the homework room should be introduced.

You could include:

• why pupils might find the room useful
• rules and arrangements that would help it work well
• one thing that might go wrong in the room and what could prevent it
• why the school should try the idea for one half-term.

You may also use your own ideas.

Your response will be assessed for communication and organisation, and for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation. The total includes 16 marks for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation.
