Four versions of a visit
People planning to visit a local archive have been given information from four different sources. The sources do not give the same instructions.
| Extract | Information given |
|---|---|
| Leaflet available in libraries | The research room is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Appointments must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Visitors need one form of identification. |
| Archive booking page | Appointments are offered Monday to Friday, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. Requests can be made until noon on the previous day. Visitors need two forms of identification. |
| Confirmation message | Visitors should arrive 20 minutes early. Requested documents will be kept for 10 minutes after the appointment begins. Bags must be placed in a locker using a £1 coin. |
| Notice beside the entrance | The building opens at 10.00 am. The lockers do not accept coins; visitors can collect a token from the reception desk. |
