Question 90

A placement that teaches something

A local business is considering whether to offer work-experience placements to pupils from your school.

Write a letter to the business owner persuading them to consider the idea. You may invent details about the business and school.

You could include:

  • what pupils could learn
  • possible benefits for the business
  • arrangements that would make a placement useful and manageable.

You may also use your own ideas.

Your response will be assessed for communication and organisation, and for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation. The total includes 16 marks for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation.
