Question 19

Text: an original contemporary report-style practice extract.

Rain fell on the nature reserve for three days in October. By the weekend, the boardwalk beside the wetland was under water and had been closed to visitors. The new visitor leaflet was ready for the printer, but its trail map still sent walkers along the boardwalk, so the warden asked for printing to be held back. A volunteer redrew the map to show the woodland path instead. Visitors who arrived that week were handed a photocopied sketch at the gate, and the leaflet went to print eight days late.

From the extract, identify one reason the leaflet was held back from printing.
