Taking over an event already in motion
A guide for young volunteers is publishing a section about taking responsibility for work begun by somebody else.
Write the section, aimed at teenagers who have agreed to take over the organisation of a community event after the original organiser can no longer continue.
Explain how they should discover what has already been promised, decide which plans are still realistic, and communicate necessary changes to volunteers and people expecting to attend. Include advice on responding to important information that arrives shortly before the event.
Your response will be assessed for communication and organisation, and for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation. The total includes 16 marks for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation.
