Question 295

When a pupil decision has consequences

A school is considering giving pupils the authority to make one significant decision about school life each year. The decision would be carried out, rather than simply passed to adults as advice.

Write an article for your school magazine giving your views on this proposal. Recommend and justify a specific way pupils should make the annual decision. Then evaluate how a foreseeable harmful or unfair consequence should affect the way the decision is put into practice or who is accountable for it.

Your response will be assessed for communication and organisation, and for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation. The total includes 16 marks for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation.
