Question 63

Text: an original contemporary personal account-style practice extract.

I arrived at the museum with only a short time before the print workshop began. The map at the entrance numbered the rooms, so I could work out which corridor led to the workshop rather than checking every doorway. It also marked the lifts on both floors, which helped me choose a route without having to return to the reception desk. I did stop to ask a member of staff whether the workshop was still going ahead, but the map got me to the right part of the building.

Give two benefits the writer gained from consulting the museum map, using details from the extract.
