A lunchtime open-mic event
Your school is considering introducing a weekly lunchtime open-mic event at which pupils could read, perform or present their own work.
Write the text of a speech for a school assembly giving your views on whether the event should be introduced.
Consider the possible benefits and difficulties for pupils with different levels of confidence and experience. Recommend and justify what the school should do, and explain how your recommendation should be put into practice.
Your response will be assessed for communication and organisation, and for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation. The total includes 16 marks for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation.
