The mobile library cancelled its Wednesday visit to Hillford after a routine check revealed a fault in the vehicle’s door mechanism. Staff arranged for reserved books to be collected from the village hall instead. Although roadworks were taking place nearby, these had not influenced the decision. An engineer was asked to inspect the vehicle before its next scheduled journey.
