An amateur aerospace club is launching a high-altitude weather balloon into the stratosphere to capture high-definition 3D video footage and collect atmospheric readings. The payload has a strict weight limit and is powered entirely by a small onboard battery pack. During the flight and descent by parachute, the payload will experience significant turbulence, near-vacuum pressures, and sub-zero temperatures.
