Course aims & skills

AQA GCSE Computer Science builds the skills examiners reward. By the end of the course you should be able to:

  • design, write and debug working programs
  • trace algorithms and predict program output
  • represent data in binary, hexadecimal and other formats
  • explain how computer hardware and networks operate
  • apply Boolean logic and logical operators
  • identify and evaluate cyber security threats and defences
