A patient has a tumour in one lung. Doctors can offer two treatments.

  • Radiotherapy, in which radiation is directed at the whole chest.
  • A monoclonal antibody that carries a radioactive substance and binds to an antigen found on the cancer cells.

Compare the two treatments. In your answer you should explain how the monoclonal antibody treatment works and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of each treatment.
