A sports psychologist conducted a study in a university fitness centre.

Study Methodology

  • Part 1 (Observation): The researcher recorded the actual number of gym members using three different workout zones at two different times of day. The results are shown in Table 1.
  • Part 2 (Self-Report Questionnaire): The same gym members completed a questionnaire. Question 5 asked, 'Which of the following workout zones do you use most often in the campus fitness centre?' The results are shown in Table 2.
