A health psychologist wanted to investigate nurses' perspectives on differences in how younger adults and older adults adhered to post-operative rehabilitation exercises. Previous research on recovery compliance showed inconsistent findings. The researcher randomly selected six hospitals from all the public hospitals in a regional healthcare trust. Five of the six hospitals agreed to take part. The researcher designed a structured interview containing five questions and interviewed the senior charge nurses of the orthopedic wards and the cardiology wards in these five hospitals.
Identify the sample used by the researcher in the study.
