Study Scenario: Music and Aggressive Behaviour

In an experiment into the effects of cognitive priming on aggressive behaviour, 30 participants listened to an audio track. Half of the participants listened to a song with aggressive, violent lyrics. The other half listened to a song with neutral, non-violent lyrics. After listening, each participant played a competitive reaction-time task against an opponent and was given the option to punish them with a noise blast. Each participant's response was classified as choosing a High Volume Blast or a Low Volume Blast.

The researcher decided to use a Chi-Squared test to analyse the data from this study because the data was nominal and each participant only took part in one of the music conditions.

Using your knowledge of research into cognitive priming, explain the likely outcome of this study.
