"We see the clear impact of classical and operant conditioning in therapeutic settings, such as using systematic desensitisation to treat severe phobias or token economies to manage behaviour in clinical wards. However, by reducing complex human experience to simple stimulus-response links, this perspective completely overlooks our internal cognitive processes and subjective experiences."
