An experimental psychologist investigated motor skill acquisition using a high-precision haptic feedback glove. Participants had to trace a complex 3D curve projected in virtual space. Every time they successfully completed the trace within a tolerance threshold, a soft audio-chime indicated success.

Each participant completed one 15-minute training session per day for 4 days in a sound-proofed laboratory environment. The researcher recorded the number of successful traces completed by a participant, Patient J, during each session.

The recorded frequencies are shown in Table 1 below.
