An aerospace engineering team investigated the descent rates of two different autonomous drone designs, AeroVane and RotorWing, during emergency power-off glide phases. A sample of 18 prototypes of each design was tested under identical environmental conditions in a controlled wind tunnel.
During the emergency descent phase, the vertical speed of each drone was recorded.
For the AeroVane group, the mean descent rate was found to be 3.45 m s−13.45\text{ m s}^{-1}3.45 m s−1 with a standard deviation of 0.28 m s−10.28\text{ m s}^{-1}0.28 m s−1.
For the RotorWing group, the mean descent rate was found to be 4.12 m s−14.12\text{ m s}^{-1}4.12 m s−1 with a standard deviation of 0.63 m s−10.63\text{ m s}^{-1}0.63 m s−1.
Using the descriptive statistics from the Drone Emergency Descent Experiment described above, construct and label a table to display the data.
