In a study on workplace dynamics, 50 video-recorded 15-minute meetings of software development teams were analysed. Two researchers used content analysis to investigate the communication styles of team leads. They found that 55% of the team leads' interactions involved collaborative facilitation (e.g., asking for input, validating others' ideas). Other behaviours identified included dominant instruction, critical feedback, active listening, and passive withdrawal.
