Question 148

A circle is defined by the parametric equations x=5+2cos⁡θx = 5 + 2 \cos \thetax=5+2cosθ , y=3+2sin⁡θy = 3 + 2 \sin \thetay=3+2sinθ

Show that the Cartesian equation of the circle is (x−5)2+(y−3)2=4(x - 5)^2 + (y - 3)^2 = 4(x−5)2+(y−3)2=4 and hence find the centre and the radius of the circle.
