Mass, Volume, and Density

To understand density, we first need to understand two basic properties of objects: mass and volume. Mass is the amount of matter in an object, usually measured in kilograms (kg) or grams (g). Volume is the amount of 3D space an object occupies, measured in cubic metres (m³), cubic centimetres (cm³), or millilitres (mL).
