The aim of the students' enquiry was to investigate the impacts and local opinions of the recent pedestrianisation and greening project in the Plaza de la Reina, Valencia, Spain.
Figure 1a: Fieldwork equipment and data collection methods used
- Tablet computer (with decibel meter app installed): Noise level measurements.
- Pedestrian count tally sheet: 10-minute pedestrian counts conducted at three selected locations around the square.
- Questionnaire sheet: Questionnaire surveys conducted with users in the pedestrianised square using random sampling.
