Question 103

Write a story with the title ‘The Unfinished Applause’. In your story, an event is interrupted just as a character receives public praise. The character must decide what to do after discovering why the applause has stopped, and an earlier detail should take on a different meaning by the end. Your response may be real or imagined.

Your work will be assessed on imaginative communication and adaptation to purpose and reader (18 marks), and organisation and technical accuracy (12 marks).
