A community choir is creating a live vocal soundtrack for a short silent film and wants local adults and secondary-school students to take part. The project will be held at Marlowe Hall on Saturday 18 May. The workshop will run from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.; participants will return at 6.00 p.m. for a public performance from 6.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Places are free but must be booked in advance through the hall reception.
Write the text of a leaflet aimed at local residents. Persuade readers to join the project and explain how the group will turn the silent film into a live performance.
Your work will be assessed on communication and adaptation to audience and purpose (27 marks), and organisation and technical accuracy (18 marks).
