Question 232

A local council is forming a residents’ panel to test and comment on proposed changes to public services. It wants people of different ages and with different experiences, including residents who have never taken part in a consultation. The panel can make recommendations, but it cannot make final decisions.

Write the text for a leaflet inviting residents to apply, explaining how first-time participants will be supported and making clear what influence the panel will and will not have.

Your work will be assessed on communication and adaptation to audience and purpose (27 marks), and organisation and technical accuracy (18 marks).
