Question 227

A local leisure centre is considering requiring every place in its exercise classes and sports sessions to be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Some users say this would prevent wasted journeys, while others say it would make access difficult for people whose plans change or who do not book online.

Write a letter to the centre manager suggesting how places should be allocated and explaining both how the proposal could affect different users and how any new system should be tested and reviewed.

Your work will be assessed on communication and adaptation to audience and purpose (27 marks), and organisation and technical accuracy (18 marks).
