Question 169

Your local council is asking young people for ideas about improving a public park.

Write a letter to the council officer responsible for the park. In your letter, explain why the park is useful to young people and suggest changes that would help them use it safely and responsibly.

You may wish to consider:

  • the activities young people use the park for
  • difficulties they may experience there
  • which improvements should be made first, and why.

Your work will be assessed on communication and adaptation to audience and purpose (27 marks), and organisation and technical accuracy (18 marks).
