Question 28

The library at your school is creating a display of student-recommended books for pupils who are unsure what to read next. Recommendations may be submitted on a library form or through the school learning platform. Library staff will select suitable contributions for the display.

Write the text for a leaflet that explains how to make a useful recommendation and encourages pupils to contribute.

In your leaflet, you should:

  • explain what information to include
  • advise pupils how to make recommendations clear and helpful
  • show why different kinds of readers should take part.

Your work will be assessed on communication and adaptation to audience and purpose (27 marks), and organisation and technical accuracy (18 marks).
