Question 36

Your school is preparing a time capsule that will be opened by students many years from now. A student committee must choose a limited number of items and create a written record to accompany them.

Write a guide for students joining this committee for the first time. Explain how to establish fair selection criteria, decide between competing suggestions and record the final choices so that a future audience can understand them. Base any practical advice on the organiser's current instructions, since permitted items, available space and deadlines will depend on the project.

Your work will be assessed on communication and adaptation to audience and purpose (27 marks), and organisation and technical accuracy (18 marks).
