At a meeting about homework, pupils, parents and teachers will discuss a proposal to keep one evening each week free from set homework. Write the speech you would give at this meeting, presenting your views on the proposal.

You may wish to consider:

  • how a homework-free evening might affect pupils
  • whether learning could be affected
  • how the proposal could work in practice.

Your work will be assessed on communication and adaptation to audience and purpose (27 marks), and organisation and technical accuracy (18 marks).
