Question 33

The last delivery

The final address was remote, beyond a track that turned sharply behind a stand of trees. Its gate was inconspicuous: a narrow opening with no number visible from the road. The postwoman found it without slowing to search. She had delivered there through several winters and knew which corner became muddy first. I understood then why a short route on a printed map could take longer than a much larger one through the town.

From the passage, select two words or phrases that describe why the final address might be difficult for a newcomer to find.
