Question 3

The sleep study

I had agreed to take part in the study because I wanted an explanation for months of poor sleep. Once the technician began attaching the sensors, I wondered how anyone could sleep while being observed so closely. I kept asking whether turning over would pull a wire loose. She demonstrated the slack in the leads and explained that moving was expected. That helped, although I still wished I could forget the camera above the door. I was willing to feel awkward for one night if it might make the following nights easier.

In your own words, explain the writer's thoughts and feelings before the overnight study.
