The press in the workshop
The restored printing press arrived in five wooden cases. The delivery van could not enter the narrow lane beside the museum, so we unloaded everything at the outer gate. The small trolley moved easily across the paving, but its wheels sank when we reached a stretch of loose gravel. At the workshop, the tallest section of the iron frame would not pass beneath the low doorway. Once the cases were open, we found that grease had covered the stamped numbers used to match several components. During assembly, a bent retaining pin would not slide through its bracket.
Describe the difficulties encountered while moving and installing the restored printing press. You may support your points with brief quotations.
