A map of sound
The testing room was silent once the door closed. Its walls were bare except for a small speaker and a notice asking patients to face forwards. The audiologist explained the response button before leaving me alone. Some of the sounds seemed so faint that I hesitated, unsure whether I had imagined them. When she returned, she showed me the marks on a graph. An experience made from uncertainty had become a set of clearly placed points.
From the passage, select two words or phrases that describe the testing room itself.
