The late amendments
The event programme was nearly ready when three speakers sent changes to their biographies. One supplied a correction in a photograph of a handwritten note. Another referred to 'the old title' without saying which of two talks she meant. A change to the opening time affected the timetable on two different pages. The printer had already reserved an early slot, and our proofreader was unavailable until lunchtime. I began listing the changes in one document so that nobody would correct one version while leaving another unchanged.
Describe the difficulties of incorporating the programme amendments accurately. You may support your points with brief quotations.
