Question 82

Behind the allotments

The tool store stood at the end of a gravel path beyond the community garden. Although it was only a short walk from the main gate, its door was concealed behind a row of tall bean canes. A small painted sign pointed towards the store, but I still walked past before the allotment secretary called me back.

Select one word or phrase from the passage which suggests that the door was difficult to see.
