Gas particles and pressure

Gas particles and pressure

Gas molecules in a rigid sealed container at lower and higher temperature, with arrows showing random motion and more wall collisions at higher temperature

The particle model says a gas is made of tiny particles that are far apart and moving in constant random motion. Because the molecules move freely in all directions, they repeatedly strike the walls of their container.
