Question 4

A psychologist wants to study cooperation. She brings pairs of adults into a room and gives every pair the same construction materials and 15 minutes to build a free-standing tower. The adults are told that she will watch them. Sitting apart from each pair, she uses a prepared checklist to tally "asks the partner for an idea", "interrupts the partner" and "combines both partners' suggestions".

Evaluate the use of this observation to investigate cooperation.
