In the practice condition, participants complete five unrecorded practice trials after the researcher explains the task and answers their questions. In the no-practice condition, participants read a short instruction card and begin the task immediately. All participants then complete 20 recorded trials on the same device in the same room, and their response times are recorded in seconds.
