Question 23

A local museum postpones a weekend workshop after a pipe bursts overnight and floods the activity room. Three of the workshop's organisers react in different ways. Hana thinks, "By next month nobody will remember the museum, its funding will disappear and it will have to close for good." Idris, who chose the date for the workshop, thinks, "If I had picked a different weekend, the flood would never have spoiled it. The workshop is ruined because of me." Rosa thinks, "Running the workshop online would not count at all. Unless visitors can attend in the museum exactly as planned, the workshop is worthless."

Using the ABC model, explain which type of irrational belief is shown in each organiser's thinking.
