Socialisation and the criminal personality

Socialisation and the criminal personality

Socialisation is the process by which children learn the rules, values and acceptable behaviour of their society. Eysenck argued that personality is largely inherited, but he also gave parents, teachers and other adults an important role through early socialisation. His central prediction was that offending is associated with a personality profile high in extraversion, neuroticism and psychoticism.
