What lateralisation means

What lateralisation means

Lateralisation of function means that the two brain hemispheres are not identical in what they do. Each hemisphere is more specialised for certain functions, although most activities involve distributed networks across both hemispheres. For example, language-related sequential processing is typically more strongly associated with the left hemisphere, while many aspects of visuospatial processing are typically more strongly associated with the right hemisphere.
