The curve stays at 0 mA from 0 V to 0.6 V, and then curves sharply upwards from 0.6 V, reaching 20 mA at 0.8 V and 50 mA at 1.0 V. Describe how the current changes as the potential difference increases from 0 V to 1.0 V.
