A student is investigating gas pressure using a gas cylinder in a laboratory.

The cylinder has a pressure gauge attached, as shown in Figure 1.

A circular pressure gauge dial. The circular scale goes from 0 to 100. There are major numbered markings at 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100. Between 40 and 60, there are 10 small subdivisions, meaning each minor tick represents 2 units. The needle points exactly to the fourth minor mark after 40. The label 'pressure' is printed in the upper half of the dial, and the unit 'kPa' is printed in the lower half of the dial.

State the pressure shown on the gauge in Figure 1.

State the unit.
