Figure 1 shows some water in a measuring cylinder next to a solid zinc block.

A measuring cylinder with a scale in cm³. The water level is shown at 150 cm³. A solid zinc block is shown next to it.

The zinc block is lowered fully into the water.

The water level in the measuring cylinder rises from 150 cm3 to 215 cm3.

The density of zinc is 7.1 g/cm3.

Calculate the mass of the zinc block.

Use the equation:
