Colour, wavelength and frequency

Visible light spectrum labelled red to violet, with red shown as longer wavelength and lower frequency and violet as shorter wavelength and higher frequency Visible light is the small part of the electromagnetic spectrum that human eyes can detect. The colours form a continuous spectrum from red to violet, and each colour has its own narrow range of wavelengths and frequencies.
