What probability means

Probability scale from 0 to 1 marked impossible, even chance and certain, with example events rolling a 7 on a die, landing on heads, and rolling less than 7 on a die

Probability describes how likely an event is when the result is random. It is always a number from 0 to 1, where 0 means impossible and 1 means certain.
